Yi-Shuan Lee 李奕諠

Yi-Shuan Lee is a Taiwanese Canadian artist. Lee’s multidisciplinary practice includes painting, sculpture, and film. His works features striking play on odd and surreal narratives based on his life story as a first generation immigrant living in North America. Lee’s work reveals the lives of an era of modern youth in Taiwan struggling to outlive the expectations set from their previous generation. Lee finds interest in uncovering untold stories from South East Asia and introducing oriental perspectives in his art. Lee received his BFA from OCAD University in 2017; he has since exhibited across China, Taiwan, Canada, Italy and America. Lee exhibited most recently at the Artist Project under the UNTAPPED selection. Lee currently lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
